Matro Perramon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Marques to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Vidal Cantabrana got a free kick in the 24th minute. João Carlos Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geleberto Acaro in the 27th minute of the match. João Carlos Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geleberto Acaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Paes got free with Matro Perramon in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amauri Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Matro Perramon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Ferrari. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Somellera to strike the kick off in the second half. Matro Perramon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Filipe Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillen Mijangos in the 60th minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matro Perramon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Paes in the 64th minute of the match. S.C. Ferrari's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Guillen Mijangos scored to the left of an out of position João Carlos Oliveira, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Paes in the 69th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Universitario defense, Willian Paes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matro Perramon. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matro Perramon should have stopped the shot. Carlos Eduardo Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Willian Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
