The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Formentera's David Tabb slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinei Pombal. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Formentera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tobias Ponciano in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Queiroz came free, but Camilo Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Formentera's David Tabb got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute of the match, Leonides Manny tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinei Pombal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th match minute, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Almeida to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Formentera booed when Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Ponciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Formentera fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Formentera's David Tabb looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Claudinei Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Tabb in the 35th minute of play. Claudinei Pombal was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Leonides Manny capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonides Manny really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Claudinei Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tabb in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Manny came free, but Claudinei Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Manny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Guillermo Marin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Pombal came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's David Tabb. But to his dismay, David Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 60th match minute, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Santo Illan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Queiroz in the 64th minute of the match. Flavinho Queiroz scored 5-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Mondragon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Formentera's goalkeeper Camilo Mondragon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavinho Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Santo Illan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Claudinei Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tabb in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Guillermo Marin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Pombal. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillermo Marin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Claudinei Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tabb in the 92nd minute of play. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Claudinei Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Marin in the 96th minute of play. Formentera walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
