Luis Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Belasko in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Timo! defense, Fabio Felo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Selatse. The Timo! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Selatse should have stopped the shot. Luis Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Belasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Marcelo Rocio charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Rocio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Timo! getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marcelo Rocio hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Horacio Mannie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cayetano Belasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Selatse having to interfere. When Ciriaco Cayo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the RED DEVIL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Cayo couldn't finish the play. Luis Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Cayo in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Belasko came free, but Luis Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Bertran in the 44th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Luis Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Javier Umea fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED DEVIL's protests and gave Javier Umea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Javier Umea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Ciriaco Cayo made the kick off in the second half. Timo!'s Luis Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Belasko in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Marcelo Rocio made a precise shot to the right of Alfonso Valentine. RED DEVIL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 61st minute, Horacio Mannie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Roberto Muc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Valentine skillfully saved the ball. Luis Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Belasko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Cayo took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Selatse. Luis Selatse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Luis Selatse came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by RED DEVIL's Ciriaco Cayo. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Cayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. With 77 minutes on the clock, David Luzaide commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 77th match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Horacio Mannie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RED DEVIL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Mannie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Selatse was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciriaco Cayo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 82 minute of play. Roberto Muc kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, RED DEVIL's Horacio Mannie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timo!'s Luis Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Bertran in the 90th minute of play. With an all-out effort, RED DEVIL's Luis Selatse threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgardo Bertran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match was over RED DEVIL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Timo! throughout the match.
