The referee ignored Chelsicha's protests and gave Vânderson Cafuringa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.E. Pindorama Eagles booed when Chelsicha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Cafuringa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Caetano da Silveira threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ştefan Magheran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes into the match, Chelsicha's goalkeeper Caetano da Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frits van Gaal. Ciro Elija took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vassilis Nentakis. Vassilis Nentakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vassilis Nentakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Elija, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Carl Mintoff to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Chelsicha getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jean Carl Mintoff hit a great ball. Caetano da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Magheran, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 44th match minute, S.E. Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Netto to maneuver through the defense. Caetano da Silveira came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Ştefan Magheran. But to his dismay, Ştefan Magheran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frits van Gaal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chelsicha's Caetano da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Magheran in the 55th minute of play. Caetano da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frits van Gaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Chelsicha's goal looked a bit too open when Frits van Gaal came free, but Caetano da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Ştefan Magheran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chelsicha's Victor Velloso was substituted for Túlio Maciel.
