After some careless play in the Newcastle United defense, Edoardo Filippini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. The Newcastle United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikolaj Jerzyk should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Lampa to maneuver through the defense. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Filippini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edoardo Filippini took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Edoardo Filippini struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal PSG. After 33 played minutes Royal PSG got a freekick which was hit by Çeliker Müjdat. André Luquet was slow to take the kick. During this time Royal PSG's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Royal PSG's André Luquet to fire away a dangerous shot which Mikolaj Jerzyk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Thomas Vollmar came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Newcastle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Vollmar couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Julian Obuchowicz with Adam Pacholewski as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 64th minute Thomas Vollmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Bétourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pankracy Malicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Fred Torres sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Fred Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikolaj Jerzyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute Royal PSG were awarded a corner. André Luquet went to the cornerflag to take it. Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Fred Torres made a precise shot to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. Newcastle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 91st minute, Fred Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal PSG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Fred Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Royal PSG's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
