The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Vernescu in the 26th minute of play. BVB 09 were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Esmeralda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mădălin Penciulescu took the corner. The corner led BVB 09's Avram Iurea to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esmeralda AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mădălin Penciulescu was slow to take the kick. During this time BVB 09's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Vernescu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Armani saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Zülfü Sungur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Vernescu in the 46th minute of the match. German Llorienzo lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Esmeralda AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Esmeralda AFC:s Jorge Armani showed great skill when he stopped Iacob Vernescu:s penalty. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iacob Vernescu to make the kick off. Marin Manea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Armani having to interfere. Jorge Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iacob Vernescu's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the BVB 09 defense, Andrew Dalli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zygmunt Koprowski. The BVB 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zygmunt Koprowski should have stopped the shot. Marin Manea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jorge Armani firmly grabbed it by the left post. BVB 09 made a substitution. Octavian Caragea replaced Iacob Vernescu. BVB 09's Francisc Bîndean was substituted for Marin Manea. BVB 09 were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Esmeralda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Octavian Caragea took the corner. With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani got control of the ball when Avram Iurea tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Iurea got free with Jorge Armani in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani got control of the ball when Octavian Caragea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Cotuțiu. Zülfü Sungur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavian Caragea in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Armani saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Zülfü Sungur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esmeralda AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
