The supporters of Armada booed when Glentown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Papa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Klementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Benkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Glentown FC got a freekick which was hit by Bo Norberg. Hasta Alfonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Färid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ştefan Grama hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bo Norbergs short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Färid Mondragón to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Róbert Benkó might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Klementsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Benkó ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Róbert Benkó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Klementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbert Benkó's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Klementsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Armada's Róbert Benkó got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Róbert Benkó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lars Klementsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Benkó in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbert Benkó in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Klementsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hasta Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Färid Mondragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When Róbert Benkó came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Armada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbert Benkó couldn't finish the play. Gustaf Allbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Färid Mondragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 81 in the game by Róbert Benkó from a close distance when the talented Lars Klementsson managed to make a qualified save. Glentown FC's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Hasta Alfonso sped through Armada's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Färid Mondragón.
