Aírton Mesquita hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. BRASIL.Sp's Luís Gustavo Bezerra was substituted for Dieguinho Freitas. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Stig-Ove Blomqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ramón Neto made a huge save. Preator Edikt's Jim Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akiba Teben in the 92nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Akiba Teben in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Hellström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Preator Edikt booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper Ramón Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BRASIL.Sp's Kazimierz Cichowski got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
