Eriberto Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Fossum, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Tales Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Eriberto Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Fossum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Adam Hrdina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ricart Futebol Clube. Stanko Lobotka kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ricart Futebol Clube's zone, Martin Fossum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Pinheiro came out of the goal and Martin Fossum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Ricart Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. AFK Petržalka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dávid Hancko in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Fossum in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Abel Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ricart Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Adam Hrdina made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Geovânio Gerber sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

AFK Petržalka's Moreno Torricelli managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by José Augusto Tepedino in the 51 minute of the game. Eriberto Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Fossum's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Eriberto Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Martin Fossum sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Martin Fossum had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Pinheiro. Ricart Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Fossum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 65th minute Abel Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Fossum received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eriberto Pinheiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Fossum slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 67th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Krstović came free, but Eriberto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dávid Strelec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Abel Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Hrdina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Nikola Krstović came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eriberto Pinheiro could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Nikola Krstović could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Eriberto Pinheiro however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Ricart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Natã Tasso hit a great ball. When the match was over AFK Petržalka could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ricart Futebol Clube throughout the match.
