After some careless play in the Floresta Negra FC defense, Orfilio Orbañanos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egun Pais. The Floresta Negra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egun Pais should have stopped the shot. In the 9th match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U. de Tarapacá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Gernando Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. León Philippi hit a great ball. Egun Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orfilio Orbañanos went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orfilio Orbañanos in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egun Pais saved Floresta Negra FC from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Gernando Rocha in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U. de Tarapacá's León Philippi. After a rather tough play, Floresta Negra FC's Gernando Rocha got a free kick in the 31st minute. Orfilio Orbañanos scored 6-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egun Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Orfilio Orbañanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais got control of the ball when Orfilio Orbañanos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Rocha. Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orfilio Orbañanos made a kick off. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 52nd minute of play. Floresta Negra FC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after U. de Tarapacá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jerzy Zjawin took the corner. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U. de Tarapacá's players were relieved. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Lewandowski in the 91st minute of play. Ariel Balboa came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski. But to his dismay, Jardel Lewandowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. U. de Tarapacá's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
