In the 18th minute Nicanor Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cuadrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Cuadrado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juniors FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uriel Isias to strike the kick off in the second half. Juniors FC's Virgilio Satordi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olaf Varela in the 51 minute of the game. Merih Sikevich hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match.
