TibaDons's Anier Eneko got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Donnelly in the 11th minute of play. Jacinto Cuadrado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Eneko in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Edorta in the 17th minute of play forced TibaDons's goalkeeper Pepe Le Petit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the TibaDons defense, Ermegildo Edorta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Le Petit. The TibaDons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Le Petit should have stopped the shot. Per-Erik Öberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pepe Le Petit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Banaszak in the 36th minute of play. Pepe Le Petit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Krzynowek in the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Edorta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pepe Le Petit. TibaDons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ermegildo Edorta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Thanks to some nice moves Ermegildo Edorta could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Pepe Le Petit however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Ian Emander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Cuadrado was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 60th minute Anier Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cuadrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jörgen Luuk sped through Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacinto Cuadrado. Boca Juniors's Hitzeder Manrique was substituted for Arkadiusz Banaszak. Jacek Krzynowek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pepe Le Petit came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacek Krzynowek slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Amorebieta in the 69th minute of play forced TibaDons's goalkeeper Pepe Le Petit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TibaDons's Pepe Le Petit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save TibaDons from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the game, Rainerio Obis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pepe Le Petit. Rainerio Obis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Emander in the 77th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Jacinto Cuadrado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Ian Emander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TibaDons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Jacinto Cuadrado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Eneko in the 79th minute of the match. Jacinto Cuadrado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Donnelly in the 82nd minute of play. Pepe Le Petit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainerio Obis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hitzeder Manrique had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Rolando Amorebieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pepe Le Petit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rainerio Obis in the 92nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Pepe Le Petit successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 94 minutes into the match, Rainerio Obis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pepe Le Petit, 2-5. The TibaDons fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boca Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
