Färid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Solari's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dževad Kasimović in the 17th minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armada's Färid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 21st minute of play. Alfonso Goicoechea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Färid Mondragón when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Cervezanegra A.C.'s Färid Mondragón threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfonso Goicoechea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Armada's Färid Mondragón got control of the ball when Pablo Solari tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Armada's Róbert Benkó in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Goicoechea to make the kick off. Armada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dževad Kasimović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Armada's Vali Caramarin was substituted for Hong Zhen Hui. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Solari in the 88th minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
