The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Leonardo Colmenares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 21st minute of the game Anfilogino Manzi made a throw-in which Alessandro Del Piero played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorrin Briones in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Fyfe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. James Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dumitru Purcărete hit a great ball. Ferenc Tököli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when Rapsodas Red Devils FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eskil Julin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferenc Tököli made an important save on a dangerous shot by King Scorpio in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rapsodas Red Devils FC's zone, James Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferenc Tököli came out of the goal and James Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. James Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damián Alcazar in the 61st minute of play. Cristiano Salah received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Glenn Fyfe came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Salah slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Flavius Cândroveanu replaced Alessandro Del Piero. 76 minutes into the match, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Purcărete came free, but Ferenc Tököli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerrold Taranco got free with Glenn Fyfe in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferenc Tököli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Scorpio in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Flavius Cândroveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Tököli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glenn Fyfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrold Taranco, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
