Epifanio Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Amador Azailla. Tomas Oliviero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sean Van Dijck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Tomas Oliviero kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sean Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Gabrio in the 22nd minute of the match. Epifanio Boniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joris De Raeve went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Oliviero in the 27th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Terwenhout in the 30th minute of play forced Grütly's goalkeeper Epifanio Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grütly's Elpidio Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Gabrio came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Grütly's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Terwenhout came free, but Epifanio Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Grütly booed when Limburg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Azailla didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Oliviero to make the kick off. Sean Van Dijck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Gabrio in the 53rd minute. Grütly were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Limburg United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tadeo Frichoso took the corner. In the 58th minute Tomas Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Van Dijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Brend Vanden Driessche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Epifanio Boniel. Grütly's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brend Vanden Driessche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Aleandro Nesta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. Grütly made a substitution. Feliberto Batista replaced Elpidio Gabrio. 68 minutes into the game, one of Limburg United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck got control of the ball when Feliberto Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grütly's zone, Emanuel Coekelbergh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Boniel came out of the goal and Emanuel Coekelbergh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Oliviero in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sean Van Dijck saved Limburg United from getting behind. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Tomas Oliviero sped through Limburg United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sean Van Dijck. In the 85th minute Tomas Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Van Dijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Limburg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter-Maarten Van Beets to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Limburg United booed when Grütly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Abar hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grütly walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
