Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Oliviero, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Paulo Txatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Oliviero in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Lluques in the 17th minute of play forced Grütly's goalkeeper Epifanio Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Q. T. I.'s corner Eleuterio Nuno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Epifanio Boniel quite easily take care of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Cecilio Mirande dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulo Txatxu, 1-0. Elpidio Gabrio took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Txatxu. Paulo Txatxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Julian Raymundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Q. T. I.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Raymundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Boniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Txatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Oliviero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Henrico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Boniel having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Q. T. I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Uxio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Grütly defense, Anibal Lluques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Boniel. The Grütly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Boniel should have stopped the shot. Grütly made a substitution. Fidel Gomesano replaced Guido Olentzaro.

The wind increased when Tomas Oliviero made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Gomesano during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Grütly's Epifanio Boniel got control of the ball when Anibal Lluques tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes Q. T. I. got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Nuno. Paulo Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Oliviero in the 72nd minute of play. Epifanio Boniel made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Anibal Lluques sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Grütly's zone, Anibal Lluques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Boniel came out of the goal and Anibal Lluques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Q. T. I. made a substitution. Alejandro Aznar replaced Horacio Dolfo. Paulo Txatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Sedeni in the 87th minute of the match. Lisandro Abeita made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grütly's Fidel Gomesano. Leopoldo Vermudo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The supporters of Grütly booed when Q. T. I. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Oliviero in the 94th minute of play. The corner ended in Fidel Gomesano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu did a great save. After 98 played minutes Grütly got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Gomesano. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Lisandro Abeita hit a great ball.
