The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zavier Prenafeta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gortaty's Walery Hyska proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Gortaty from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Iriarte got free with Walery Hyska in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Radowit Siedlecki kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gortaty defense, Modesto Iriarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walery Hyska. The Gortaty fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walery Hyska should have stopped the shot. Franciszek Wicherek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Zavier Prenafeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zavier Prenafeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ziemowit Borcz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 31 minutes Gortaty's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Octavio Bourchier who took care of the corner kick. Candido Abeliuk charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A collision led to Gortaty getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lukasz Bakes hit a great ball. The long shot by Octavio Bourchier in the 42nd minute really tested Walery Hyska's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 45thth minute of the game Ziemowit Borcz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cobresal's Zavier Prenafeta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Franciszek Wicherek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zavier Prenafeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaitán Huaquil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zavier Prenafeta made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ziemowit Borcz sent off a good shot on target. When Gaitán Huaquil came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Cobresal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaitán Huaquil couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ziemowit Borcz in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zavier Prenafeta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ziemowit Borcz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Zavier Prenafeta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Cobresal's Zavier Prenafeta got control of the ball when Marcin Pierz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Franciszek Wicherek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortaty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franciszek Wicherek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee ignored Gortaty's protests and gave Klement Charlos a yellow card for diving instead. 68 minutes into the game, Franciszek Wicherek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortaty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cobresal the free kick. Franciszek Wicherek kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Radowit Siedlecki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortaty and the Cobresal players grew even worse after the yellow card.
