In the 17thth minute of the game Gabriele Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Sugar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriele Batistuta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Alves came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriele Batistuta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Mendes in the 32nd minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Gabriele Batistuta notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves. Manuel Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's William Angelsø got a free kick in the 39th minute.
