In the 3rd minute, Andries De Putter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Salvidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries De Putter, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Andries De Putter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 22nd minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Lei Bin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Menchu FC from getting a goal against them. Camilo Salvidor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andries De Putter's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Lei Bin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gabriele Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Bin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriele Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lei Bin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lei Bin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriele Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Uriel Gorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriele Batistuta to make the kick off. AFC United's Fryderyk Maurycy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Siro Osasun in the 51 minute of the game. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andries De Putter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lei Bin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 53rd minute. Menchu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abdoulay Doucouré in the 55th minute. A nice corner shot did that Peter Söderqwist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lei Bin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Siro Osasun made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AFC United's Fryderyk Maurycy. Andries De Putter struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Camilo Salvidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC United. Peru Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Camilo Salvidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lei Bin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 70th minute. In the 70thth minute of the game Gabriele Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC United's Lei Bin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriele Batistuta got free with Lei Bin in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Menchu FC's zone, Andries De Putter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal and Andries De Putter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Menchu FC's Mayer Candelo was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. AFC United's Bilintx Trilla was substituted for Şenel Volkan. AFC United made a substitution. Antonio De Schutter replaced Andries De Putter. A sloppy throw-in by Bilintx Trilla in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Menchu FC's George Grönlund. 92 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Mayer Candelo came free, but Lei Bin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Mayer Candelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Bin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFC United had won after a very even match.
