In the 4th minute, Petter Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal and Aristide Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to México Eterno MZC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Kaká Vieira hit a great ball. Jailson Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pacorro Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Hori Guillemez managed to get in a good position for a shot. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hori Guillemez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristide Ciuvică took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edwin van der Sar. Edwin van der Sar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristide Ciuvică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pacorro Aguilar's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Ciuvică in the 28th minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hori Guillemez's late challenge caught a México Eterno MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hori Guillemez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of México Eterno MZC booed when ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hori Guillemez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, México Eterno MZC's Aristide Ciuvică nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin van der Sar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kaká Vieira made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Iliana Seseña. After 38 minutes México Eterno MZC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mario Alberto Yepes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s corner Mario Alberto Yepes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jailson Aparecido quite easily take care of the ball. In the 41st minute of the game Iliana Seseña made a throw-in which Refugio Colsa played forward. Aristide Ciuvică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. México Eterno MZC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Pacorro Aguilar made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, México Eterno MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Vieira to maneuver through the defense. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Ciuvică in the 54th minute of play. México Eterno MZC's Jailson Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hori Guillemez in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pacorro Aguilar in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jailson Aparecido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Perez. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Furman Salantes was substituted for Noel Guerrero. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pero Falla was substituted for Pacorro Aguilar. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Santos Sanz was substituted for Refugio Colsa. Edwin van der Sar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for México Eterno MZC. Aristide Ciuvică's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, México Eterno MZC's Aristide Ciuvică sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin van der Sar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. México Eterno MZC's Aristide Ciuvică got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. México Eterno MZC made a substitution.
