In the 54th minute Kevin Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Hark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Edelmiro Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Renteria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Ontembare Leeuwen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Duda Nesta was slow to take the kick. During this time Karasuno's players had a chance to rest. 82 minutes into the match, Kevin Newman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leo Hark, 2-4. In the 85thth minute of the game Emanuele Mussi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Ontembare Leeuwen's Norberto Renteria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Steve Schrage fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Ontembare Leeuwen's protests and gave Steve Schrage a yellow card for diving instead.
