Dochko Sivchev didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's Claude Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Barreto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Atlético Municipal's Claude Sena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mauro Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Willie Colon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Mauro Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Paranaense in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davi Lendaa got free with Chuan Cintron in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Nova Venécia-ES defense, Silvanito Gainza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Barreto. The Nova Venécia-ES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Barreto should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Claude Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron got control of the ball when Leonel Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Lendaa to make the kick off. Willie Colon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Barreto having to interfere. Natã Quintal scored 1-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chuan Cintron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Nascimento in the 59th minute of play. Mauro Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willie Colon in the 62nd minute. Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Diniz in the 64th minute of play. Gau Resto in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mauro Barreto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mauro Barreto made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gau Resto sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Municipal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
