Bennvar Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennvar Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie Colon in the 19th minute of play. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Celio Cruz with Andoni Viguri as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 26 played minutes Bolsodios got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Verlinden. In the 30th minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennvar Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claude Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bennvar Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celio Cruz made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bolsodios's Besik Taş. A collision led to Bolsodios getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Isidoro Ariando hit a great ball. Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Besik Taş in the 45th minute of play. Bennvar Buffon made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Claude Sena sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berto Somiedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bennvar Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar De León went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 58 played minutes Bolsodios got a freekick which was hit by Besik Taş. The audience was convinced that Oscar De León's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bennvar Buffon was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Bolsodios's attentive Jonas Raymon managed to snatch the ball when Celio Cruz made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Chuan Cintron was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Berto Somiedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Municipal's Andoni Viguri got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 70 played minutes Atlético Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Andoni Viguri. Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Cherro in the 87th minute of play. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugues Calonne in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bolsodios defense, Willie Colon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bennvar Buffon. The Bolsodios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bennvar Buffon should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Municipal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bolsodios had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
