When Karsten Ludvigsen fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Pladask's protests and gave Karsten Ludvigsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5thth minute of the game Herminio Florinio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Florinio in the 6th minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Herminio Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Grønningsæter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Hojem in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Guimarães saved Club Deportivo Águila from getting behind. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Pladask booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Florinio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Herminio Florinio sped through FC Pladask's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Grønningsæter. The supporters of FC Pladask booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Oporto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st match minute, FC Pladask was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjetil-André Grønseth to maneuver through the defense. Angel Velis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pladask from getting a goal against them. Ricky Koppens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Grønningsæter having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Herminio Florinio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Grønningsæter was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Florinio in the 68th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Florinio came free, but Daniel Grønningsæter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Kazimierz Pisarcik sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Herminio Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Grønningsæter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Herminio Florinio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Águila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Club Deportivo Águila's Ivan Viscarra was substituted for Herminio Florinio.
