Torjus Solvoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Florinio, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Club Deportivo Águila were awarded a corner. Angel Velis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Club Deportivo Águila's Angel Velis to fire away a dangerous shot which Torjus Solvoll despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Torjus Solvoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Cârneci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torjus Solvoll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Gallegos in the 10th minute of play. Club Deportivo Águila were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after FC Pladask's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angel Velis took the corner. The corner led Club Deportivo Águila's Angel Velis to fire away a dangerous shot which Torjus Solvoll despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Erlend Øvereng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustavo Guimarães. Erlend Øvereng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The Club Deportivo Águila fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Cârneci in the 25th minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Torjus Solvoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Pladask's Torjus Solvoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Gallegos in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute Miguel Gallegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torjus Solvoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Gallegos in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torjus Solvoll saved FC Pladask from getting behind. Ricky Koppens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute of the match Club Deportivo Águila got a corner. FC Pladask's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Velis ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Herminio Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Club Deportivo Águila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Florinio couldn't finish the play. When Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herminio Florinio was the one to do the kick off. Herminio Florinios short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Torjus Solvoll to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pladask's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angel Velis was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Águila's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Florinio in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torjus Solvoll saved FC Pladask from getting behind. Torjus Solvoll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Florinio's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Torjus Solvoll successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Vintilă Cârneci got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vintilă Cârneci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Koppens in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Torjus Solvoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricky Koppens succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 92nd playminute. Ivan Viscarra scored 2-6 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torjus Solvoll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Club Deportivo Águila supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Deportivo Águila would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
