The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Sundens BK's Per Eliasson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Malvin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sundens BK's Axel Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Galo in the 14th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eustaquio Pudes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Malvin. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Benjamin Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Pudes in the 24th minute of play. Sundens BK were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Santos de Buenos Aires FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agne Björk took the corner. Sundens BK's Agne Björk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benjamin Malvin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eustaquio Pudes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benjamin Malvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Pudes in the 27th minute of the match. Eustaquio Pudes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Malvin having to make a save. Beven Carmichael charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beven Carmichael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 36 minutes into the match, Sundens BK's Eustaquio Pudes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Malvin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when Sundens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agne Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per Eliassons short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Benjamin Malvin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Galo in the 43rd minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Axel Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Seber, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Albino Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danilo Seber to strike the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Pudes took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Malvin. Benjamin Malvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Pudes in the 63rd minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Bruno Cambiasso took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Axel Mellberg to make any attempt to save it. Teodosio James's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio James helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santos de Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Teodosio James hit a great ball. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Ramon Angel was substituted for Danilo Seber. In the 74th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio James to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes, Sundens BK's Beven Carmichael shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Malvin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sundens BK reached it. Eustaquio Pudes scored 3-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Malvin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 84 minutes, Sven-Arne Ahlfors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sundens BK and the Santos de Buenos Aires FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Sundens BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Ahlfors. The throw-in from Sven-Arne Ahlfors in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Matias Remir. Axel Mellberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Cambiasso in the 92nd minute of the match. Ramon Angel kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Bruno Cambiasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ramon Angel came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Angel couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sundens BK could leave the field as winners, despite Santos de Buenos Aires FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
