With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 3rdth minute of the game Jaime Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Juan Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Hílton Cosme got a free kick in the 7th minute. With a little luck, Oranil's Juan Velloso got control of the ball when Karl-Magnus Biörkquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kléber Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eduardo Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rodrigues came free, but Juan Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Jaime Rodrigues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Jaime Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Biörkquist in the 26th minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Velloso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Souto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. With a little luck, Oranil's Juan Velloso got control of the ball when Richard Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Moisés de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oranil's protests and gave Moisés de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Moisés de Sousa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Edgar Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Velloso came out of the goal and Edgar Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Rodrigues succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 44th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmílson Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Edgar Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 56 minutes into the game, Richard Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Juan Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgar Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Souto in the 60th minute of play. Edgar Souto took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. When Inter Gala's Richard Mendonça in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oranil's goalie prevented a goal. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinz Stalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Edgar Souto scored 8-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Heinz Stalder came free, but Juan Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Heinz Stalder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inter Gala made a substitution. Donato Capixaba replaced Karl-Magnus Biörkquist. Juan Velloso came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Gala's Richard Mendonça. But to his dismay, Richard Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Kléber Saldanha got a free kick in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter Gala fully deserved thier win.
