In the 14th minute, Lucas Alario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Lucas Alario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Velloso. Oranil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Alario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Raul Jax proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save A.D Atlético Villa Gesell from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Alario in the 24th minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lucas Alario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Oranil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Marin Mascovescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Hílton Cosme in the 46th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Raul Jax's left hand side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmílson Catarinense to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Lucas Alario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Alarios short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Juan Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Alario struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Juan Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.D Atlético Villa Gesell. Juan Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Alario in the 66th minute.
