Abuba Akotonon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Genaro Elivareo in the 10th minute. J.J Okocha was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Rejunte de perros's Marcelo Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.J Okocha in the 10th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Cecilio Tristan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rejunte de perros's Marcelo Armani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti got control of the ball when Rogelio Funes Mori tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Vânderson Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Armani was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rejunte de perros's Marcelo Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 23rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Rogelio Funes Mori sped through Abuba Akotonon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. After a rather tough play, Abuba Akotonon FC's Emanuel Aurre got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 34th minute of play forced Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Marcelo Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Genaro Elivareo made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Armani. Rejunte de perros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Rogelio Funes Mori kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomás Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vânderson Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Barbosa in the 60th minute of the match. Rejunte de perros's attentive Mathieu De Winter managed to snatch the ball when J.J Okocha made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Genaro Elivareo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 70th playminute. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iisakki Hilden in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Barbosa in the 79th minute of play forced Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Marcelo Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Barral in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rejunte de perros defense, Genaro Elivareo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Armani. The Rejunte de perros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Armani should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Luis Artime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 minutes of play, Rejunte de perros's Thomás Barral made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abuba Akotonon FC's Emiliano Enol was substituted for Cecilio Tristan.
