After a rather tough play, ALEXANDRIA's Charilaos Mitsibonas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 11th minute Christijan Schreuder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Obano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Verwachting booed when ALEXANDRIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoffrey Verhelst didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Orozco got free with Herbert Hilhorst in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godfredo Obano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Twan Hesseling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Orozco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Herbert Hilhorst came out and tried to block the shot, but Franco Orozco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. 32 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Orozco. Godfredo Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Japke de Boer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Verwachting's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harm de Freitas in the 34th minute. Godfredo Obano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Japke de Boer in the 37th minute of the match. Gervasio Chorache scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Hilhorst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to ALEXANDRIA getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Gabin Doare hit a great ball. Yağız Sidal hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Franco Orozco made the kick off in the second half. Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Itzaina in the 51st minute of play. Godfredo Obano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Twan Hesseling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Hilhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Marques in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Chorache came free, but Herbert Hilhorst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Obano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christijan Schreuder in the 67th minute of the match. When Christijan Schreuder came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Verwachting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christijan Schreuder couldn't finish the play. ALEXANDRIA made a substitution. After a defensive mix-up in ALEXANDRIA's zone, Japke de Boer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 90th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phoenix Soare to maneuver through the defense. Feliciano Itzaina struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Herbert Hilhorst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALEXANDRIA. Godfredo Obano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Japke de Boer in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the ALEXANDRIA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
