Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Ali Picavea in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Habib Ali Picavea got a free kick in the 19th minute. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habib Ali Picavea in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gláuber Brodel. Gláuber Brodel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Abel Vidal was slow to take the kick. During this time Al-Fajuth's players had a chance to rest. Abel Vidal made a great header on Al-Fajuth's corner, it was just that Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 46th minute, Al-Fajuth's Léo Ortiz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Léo Ortiz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Al-Fajuth protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Léo Ortiz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Léo Ortiz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseu Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. When Habib Ali Picavea came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Morro Grande E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Habib Ali Picavea couldn't finish the play. Al-Fajuth's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Hélder Velasco scored to the left of an out of position Édouard Mendy, making the score, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 60th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Gláuber Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee ignored Morro Grande E.C's protests and gave Toninho Caca-Rato a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Toninho Caca-Rato hit a great ball. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredinho Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Fajuth's zone, Alfredinho Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal and Alfredinho Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Habib Ali Picavea, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habib Ali Picavea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Wilson Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Al-Fajuth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morro Grande E.C the free kick. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Habib Ali Picavea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Édouard Mendy made a huge save. If Eliseu Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
