An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundson Ross in the 39th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermengol Baena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Beckham in the 46th minute of the match. Ermengol Baena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundson Ross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quirce Lamas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Edmundson Ross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
