Club Sportivo Quilmes's Pastor Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Tande in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmílson Martins in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manúel Bento saved Dogelo from getting behind. A well done corner resulted in Leandro Fidalgo drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Dogelo's goalkeeper. 38 minutes into the match, Dogelo's Frank Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pastor Firman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Dogelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Manúel Bento came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportivo Quilmes's Sebastian Verón. But to his dismay, Sebastian Verón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Federico Totakoxe got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Tande came free, but Pastor Firman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Burdzel made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Leandro Fidalgo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jardel Tande's late challenge caught a Club Sportivo Quilmes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Sportivo Quilmes fully deserved thier win.
