In the 4th minute Éthan Pichard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 王斌城 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacek Matuch made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Stian Selnes sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Éthan Pichard to maneuver through the defense. KEZ Toppfotball's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andreas Stålesen in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Andreas Stålesen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch did a great save. In the 17th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horst Hussen to maneuver through the defense. 王斌城 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éthan Pichard in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, KEZ Toppfotball's goal looked a bit too open when Éthan Pichard came free, but 王斌城 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes KEZ Toppfotball's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermann Viapiano who took care of the corner kick. The corner led SV Bad Harzburg's Hermann Viapiano to fire away a dangerous shot which 王斌城 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Saltnes hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Horst Hussen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 王斌城 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the KEZ Toppfotball defense, Silvestre Loi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 王斌城. The KEZ Toppfotball fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 王斌城 should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Hylland made a kick off. 王斌城 made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Éthan Pichard sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, KEZ Toppfotball's Andreas Stålesen got a free kick in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, 王斌城 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jurek Ohrem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Silvestre Loi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Jonathan Staff charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Staff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Joachim Hylland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacek Matuch came out of the goal and Joachim Hylland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 王斌城 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Éthan Pichard in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute Éthan Pichard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 王斌城 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Éthan Pichard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacek Matuch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Svendsrud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roberto Carlos fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Bad Harzburg's protests and gave Roberto Carlos a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Carlos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, SV Bad Harzburg's Jurek Ohrem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 王斌城 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SV Bad Harzburg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
