Yuan Xing Lin might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georgi Velinov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yuan Xing Lin ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Doychin Karamalkov came free, but La Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alan Everett fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gone With the Win's protests and gave Alan Everett a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Alan Everett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuan Xing Lin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Mano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Metodi Demerdzhiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Doychin Karamalkov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving La Mano. That made the score 1-2 in the 47 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuan Xing Lin to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Dragolyub Buchkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
