Fermin Dolfo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Allan Varela made a huge save. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palestra do Interior's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Rosalio was slow to take the kick. During this time Yalapa's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Yalapa's Amedeo Biscotti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Paulo Godoi took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basri İhtiyar. Basri İhtiyar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 14 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basri İhtiyar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Yalapa defense, Paulo Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basri İhtiyar. The Yalapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basri İhtiyar should have stopped the shot. Basri İhtiyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 吴洲坚, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner. Hudson Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. Palestra do Interior's Hudson Sergipano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basri İhtiyar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Edwardo came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Yalapa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palestra do Interior were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Tarmo Helm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Allan Varela having to make a save. With his leg Basri İhtiyar managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ernani Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Yalapa's Cristobal Isusko was substituted for Faustino Dimo. The supporters of Yalapa booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yalapa's Fermin Dolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Palestra do Interior's Niclas Danielsson was substituted for Hudson Sergipano. Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago was substituted for Paulo Godoi. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Vitório Lago took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Basri İhtiyar to make any attempt to save it. The Yalapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basri İhtiyar should have stopped the shot. When Vitório Lago came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Lago couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitório Lago in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basri İhtiyar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yalapa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niclas Danielsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ernani Velasco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar did a great save. Palestra do Interior's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
