Robert Bresson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Alenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes NAGANO F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lenílson Siqueira who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eche Mingas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vellito Alguerdo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vellito Alguerdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Apelkvist in the 18th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Eche Mingas in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by NAGANO F.C's Clodoveo Weather. Jari Alenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Robert Bresson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, NAGANO F.C's Karl-Åke Hong got a free kick in the 39th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Oskar Apelkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vellito Alguerdo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Oskar Apelkvist went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. NAGANO F.C's Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Thorbjörn Hong. Zhuang Xing Ting's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Pertti Koskenkorva made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Clodoveo Weather immediately put the ball in play. Bill Brugmans hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Alenius in the 79th minute of play forced INTOCABLES 2oo4's goalkeeper Robert Bresson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play, INTOCABLES 2oo4's Manoj Espinosa made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vellito Alguerdo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Gabriel Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Bresson. INTOCABLES 2oo4's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Robert Bresson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute Gabriel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Bresson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the INTOCABLES 2oo4 defense, Jari Alenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Bresson. The INTOCABLES 2oo4 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Bresson should have stopped the shot. The INTOCABLES 2oo4 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing INTOCABLES 2oo4 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
