Joachim Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Danielsson in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Godoi in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Holmgren saved FC Hackspett U21 from getting behind. In the 13th minute FC Hackspett U21 were awarded a corner. Ye Feng Feng went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Hackspett U21's corner Nils Smitt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Allan Varela quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the FC Hackspett U21 defense, Paulo Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joachim Holmgren. The FC Hackspett U21 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Holmgren should have stopped the shot. When Shi Li Sha came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the FC Hackspett U21 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shi Li Sha couldn't finish the play. Moisés Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Paulo Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, FC Hackspett U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Klemensson to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when FC Hackspett U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Klemensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Wilhelm Kilberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, FC Hackspett U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berend Hermensen to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Holmgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Godoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 55 minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Paulo Godoi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joachim Holmgren, 0-3. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvin Brenner in the 83rd minute of the match. When Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Hackspett U21's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Hudson Sergipano got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the match was over Palestra do Interior could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Hackspett U21 throughout the match.
