A collision led to Æsir Ásgarðr getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Álfgeir Hannibalsson hit a great ball. Eldór Hreiðarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some careless play in the Æsir Ásgarðr defense, Jude Monkhouse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eldór Hreiðarsson. The Æsir Ásgarðr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eldór Hreiðarsson should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Várzea F.C.'s Anderson Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eldór Hreiðarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Jude Monkhouse notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Æsir Ásgarðr's Eldór Hreiðarsson. Eldór Hreiðarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anderson Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eldór Hreiðarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paiva in the 21st minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Eldór Hreiðarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Anderson Paiva made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Æsir Ásgarðr's Eldór Hreiðarsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 24 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Lárus Arnleifsson. Eldór Hreiðarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Monkhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Marcos Roberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 33rd minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Eldór Hreiðarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eldór Hreiðarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eldór Hreiðarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 36th minute of play. Eldór Hreiðarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Anderson Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Eldór Hreiðarsson. Æsir Ásgarðr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Eldór Hreiðarsson came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Dé Montenegro. But to his dismay, Dé Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7.

Anderson Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eldór Hreiðarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anderson Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Anderson Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eldór Hreiðarsson having to make a save. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guðvin Skúlason in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Dé Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eldór Hreiðarsson, 0-8. Æsir Ásgarðr's Eldór Hreiðarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. 60 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Eldór Hreiðarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Montenegro. In the 66th minute Várzea F.C. were awarded a corner. Aloísio Secco went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Anderson Paiva put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Eldór Hreiðarsson. Eldór Hreiðarsson was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Delmiro Licerio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Delmiro Licerio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. With a little luck, Æsir Ásgarðr's Eldór Hreiðarsson got control of the ball when Dé Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Æsir Ásgarðr defense, Dé Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eldór Hreiðarsson. The Æsir Ásgarðr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eldór Hreiðarsson should have stopped the shot. Eldór Hreiðarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dé Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eldór Hreiðarsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 92nd minute of the match Várzea F.C. got a corner. Æsir Ásgarðr's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aloísio Secco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Várzea F.C.'s Anderson Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eldór Hreiðarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eldór Hreiðarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Paiva in the 95th minute of play.
