Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Xing Song came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis Saison hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Gustave Souchu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Xing Song in the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by R.C. Marseille's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xande Sharkin was slow to take the kick. During this time Pégasus F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lu Xing Song was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pégasus F. C.'s zone, Cyrille Melon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Cunha came out of the goal and Cyrille Melon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustave Souchu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Xing Song, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Pégasus F. C. from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cyrille Melon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Cunha was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustave Souchu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Pégasus F. C. from getting a goal against them. Gjøran Sætre hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
