Spectators: 176 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Diego Armando Lamb kicked off to start the match. José Chilavert came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Renan Bouzat. But to his dismay, Renan Bouzat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Mihail Toader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cyrille Melon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Chilavert having to make a save. José Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mihail Toader sent off a good shot on target. In the 13thth minute of the game Diego Armando Lamb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Algarrobo were awarded a corner. Dani Alves went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobo's zone, Cyrille Melon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Chilavert came out of the goal and Cyrille Melon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Diego Armando Lamb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ghislain Ménétrier hit a great ball. José Chilavert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyrille Melon's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Cyrille Melon had several of the Algarrobo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed José Chilavert as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobo's zone, Cyprien Auguste stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Chilavert came out of the goal and Cyprien Auguste tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Nadal in the 32nd minute of play. José Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihail Toader in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute of the match R.C. Marseille got a corner. Algarrobo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renan Bouzat ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Renan Bouzat almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Algarrobo's José Chilavert did a great save. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Maxence Demay hit a great ball. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrille Melon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Régis Saison kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Dani Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustave Souchu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cyrille Melon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algarrobo made a substitution. Wilfredo Marchetti replaced Rafael Nadal. Algarrobo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dani Alves in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dani Alves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustave Souchu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Juan Ignacio Vera hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. Algarrobo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dani Alves in the 68th minute. Gustave Souchu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Armando Lamb, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Tomás Talamilla in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ignacio Vera came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cyrille Melon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Chilavert was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyrille Melon didn't get a good kick on the ball. R.C. Marseille's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
