In the 18th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Mălăele to maneuver through the defense. Dani Alves succeeded in the game's 19th minute to get real power on a long shot . Paralia Athens's Codrin Beraru hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Nadal in the 23rd minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Codrin Beraru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Bornescu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Bornescu. 27 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Lamb notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Paralia Athens's Codrin Beraru. Codrin Beraru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Algarrobo were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Paralia Athens's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dani Alves took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Edmundo Cañas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Paralia Athens's Olimpiu Hurmuzache was substituted for Lucrețiu Miheș. Codrin Beraru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 39th minute. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Marghescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes Algarrobo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristian Urdeş who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Hurmuzache in the 47th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Paralia Athens's Codrin Beraru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, Algarrobo's Edmundo Cañas made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Codrin Beraru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Arseni was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Paralia Athens's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Wilfredo Marchetti hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. José Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Marcu Cozmâncă sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Hurmuzache came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match, Martin Arseni got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Chilavert was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Codrin Beraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Marchetti in the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Urdeş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Algarrobo fully deserved thier win.
