José Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Luar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 42nd minute of the game Dani Alves made a throw-in which Pedro Tomás Talamilla played forward. José Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Gavino Luar sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Arthur Schopenhauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Zhuang Xing Tian successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, Algarrobo's Zhuang Xing Tian threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Tomás Talamilla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 55th minute Edson-Arantes Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
