Misericordia EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Herz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jonas Herzs short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Paulo Leão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 12 minutes Misericordia EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albain Furst who took care of the corner kick. If Sergio-Roberto Dinamite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Maravilha came free, but Sepp Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilles Clerc's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The Zelg FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 23 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Palmeira came free, but Sepp Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Maravilha in the 24th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Valdomiro Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sepp Mainville was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Paulinho Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenny Traugott hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Misericordia EC's Sergio-Roberto Dinamite got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Leão made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Gilles Clerc sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Herz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Valdomiro Luz made the kick off in the second half. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Herz in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Leão saved Misericordia EC from getting behind. In the 59th minute Gilles Clerc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville got control of the ball when Valdomiro Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Misericordia EC's Valdomiro Luz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sepp Mainville. That made the score 2-1 after 60 minutes of play. Jonas Herz might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Herz ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Herz came free, but Paulo Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio-Roberto Dinamite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Misericordia EC's Valdomiro Luz in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zelg FC's goalie prevented a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Herz came free, but Paulo Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Misericordia EC's Sepp Mainville threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulinho Palmeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herz in the 78th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Clerc. Paulo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Herz in the 84th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Paulo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Zico Maravilha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Misericordia EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Zelg FC's attentive Stephan Eichenberger managed to snatch the ball when Sérgio Muralhas made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Paulo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Herz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Zelg FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
