An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Corrigan in the 6th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nial Messenger hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Óscar Eiró got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Lam Baril shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gazanfer Canıtez, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Antero Rebocho could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Clive Shilton however easily saved by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Eskil Stenkvist came free, but Miguel Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Eskil Stenkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Carneiro. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eskil Stenkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eskil Stenkvist to make the kick off. Miguel Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gazanfer Canıtez in the 51st minute of the match. Miguel Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Stenkvist in the 55th minute of play. After 58 played minutes FC LIVERPOOL got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Stenkvist. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Lam Baril took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Miguel Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. Miguel Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gazanfer Canıtez in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Hilário lago got a free kick in the 67th minute. A collision led to Stars Academy getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Celso Estrada hit a great ball. After 71 minutes, Santiago Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stars Academy and the FC LIVERPOOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Eskil Stenkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC LIVERPOOL's Leandro Ramiréz got a free kick in the 74th minute. Stars Academy's Miguel Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Stars Academy from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded FC LIVERPOOL left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stars Academy.
