When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Kris Chamberlain put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Telmo Valadares. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of FC Alytus United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lupere FC - DMZ:s goal. Edvīns van der Sar had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Alan das Neves's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Edvīns van der Sar was a little too slow when Alan das Neves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 86th minute, FC Alytus United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fabrício Jardel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lupere FC - DMZ's Telmo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Bremming in the 89th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Romualdas Motiekaitis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Telmo Valadares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Lupere FC - DMZ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Alytus United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
