If Benne Reijnders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. JURIDIQUES F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hønning the free kick. After 23 played minutes JURIDIQUES F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Coutinho. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Varela hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Romholt during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that John-Arne Riise's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Varela was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game.

When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-0 when John-Arne Riise sped through JURIDIQUES F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Varela. Zé Pedro Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinand Romholt went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ferdinand Romholt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hønning's Carlos Eduardo Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John-Arne Riise in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, John-Arne Riise had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Pedro Varela. JURIDIQUES F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John-Arne Riise was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hønning fully deserved thier win.
