The corner led to Hønning's Simon Svanström getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Penha in the 30th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granadero10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tana Rede was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tana Rede in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dirch Glerum saved Hønning from getting behind. 54 minutes into the game, Jeppe Andersen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hønning's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granadero10 the free kick. Granadero10's Alfredinho Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John-Arne Riise in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Granadero10's Vítor Antunes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Jairo Vinhas hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hønning's Benne Reijnders quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dráuzio Santos, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Dirch Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beniamin Madajczyk in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Cavalcante having to interfere. Granadero10 were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Hønning's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tana Rede took the corner.
