Rogério Ceni was a little too slow when Brian Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Brian Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Brian Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Ceni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Denílson Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A Gryffindor defense, Vinícius Servaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Corinth. The C.A Gryffindor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Corinth should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Vinícius Servaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Corinth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led C.A Gryffindor's Brian Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vinícius Servaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C.A Gryffindor's Cássio Corinth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Servaes in the 38th minute of play. Vinícius Servaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cássio Corinth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brian Montenegro to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Servaes in the 54th minute of play forced C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cássio Corinth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 minutes C.A Gryffindor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Cruz who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Diamante Negro DK - VV's Cipriano Tróia to fire away a dangerous shot which Cássio Corinth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rogério Ceni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Vinícius Servaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Servaes got free with Cássio Corinth in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Cássio Corinth threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Willian Félix, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vinícius Servaes came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cássio Corinth could save by the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Vinícius Servaes notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of C.A Gryffindor's Cássio Corinth. Cássio Corinth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. C.A Gryffindor's Marcelinho Leme was substituted for Bill Bill. C.A Gryffindor's Edgard Mangueira was substituted for Denílson Lopes. C.A Gryffindor's Dennis Bergkamp was substituted for Brian Montenegro. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Frederico Pontes was substituted for Mauro Ihintza. 89 minutes into the game, Renato Nevares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A Gryffindor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamante Negro DK - VV the free kick. A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Renato Nevares hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Edgard Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Gryffindor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
