Leonel Cordara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Fagildo having to make a save. In the 8th minute, Leonel Cordara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Branca del Vieja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With an all-out effort, Paunero's Genaro Ponciano threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silverio Semeno, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amancio Suarez hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Leonel Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Fagildo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Cordara went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 21st match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Farias to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Peli. After having played for 22 minutes, Zikoranachukwudimma von Buol-Schaudenstein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Branca del Vieja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zikoranachukwudimma von Buol-Schaudenstein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Pabla hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Cordara in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Fagildo saved Paunero from getting behind. Fabio Fagildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Armando Estebano made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leopoldo Liberto. After 41 played minutes El Branca del Vieja got a freekick which was hit by Lu Ping Wei. After a rather tough play, El Branca del Vieja's Osvaldo Pabla got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 42 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Peli came free, but Genaro Ponciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half El Branca del Vieja were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Leonel Cordara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Fagildo was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Leonel Cordara scored 0-5 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Fagildo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 56 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Palos. Vinicio Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Silverio Tuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Vinicio Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Branca del Vieja made a substitution. Filiberto Benitez replaced Zikoranachukwudimma von Buol-Schaudenstein. After 67 played minutes Paunero got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Palos. Silverio Tuste took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Fagildo. Fabio Fagildo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 78 minutes into the match, Paunero's goalkeeper Fabio Fagildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silverio Tuste. Silverio Semeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Ponciano having to interfere. In the 81st minute Vinicio Palos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Ponciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Suarez hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paunero's goalkeeper Fabio Fagildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Paunero booed when El Branca del Vieja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Pabla didn't get a good kick on the ball.
